"May the wind under your wings bear you where the sun sails and the moon walks."
Lover of ALL love, and in the photography biz since 2014. Travel, adventure and exploration are always calling me, but home is (and always will be) where my heart is. I'll always be happiest found under a blanket, cozied up with a good book or movie, my pups and maybe an iced tea (but never with ice).
I really like the Jurassic Park theme song and can rap every word to Eminem's "Not Afraid". I can't sleep without socks on and I have an irrational fear of octopi.
I'm a firm believer in quality over quantity and am mildly obsessed with documenting human connection. Let's get to know each other!
When it comes down to finding a location for any photoshoot, I will ALWAYS gravitate towards the unkept and wild. Never underestimate the beauty in the texture, dimension and emotion of the real and the raw. I am a firm believer in letting your hair become a little windswept, or your boots a little muddy. It's always worth the adventure.
Meet Boone & Raye! If you're a fellow dog-owner, you'll most likely hear me talk about them a LOT. Boone is the protective (yet scaredy-cat) German Shepherd who's really just a giant, sleepy sweetheart. Don't bug him if he's cozy though; he'll be a real grumpy guy if you do. Raye is the sweetest little lady/Dobby the house-elf lookalike, rescue from St. Lucia who loves to snuggle under the covers. These little babes have my heart!
Maybe it's because I watched too much Twilight as a teenager, or maybe it's because I've always enjoyed the peace and quiet that tends to accompany those gloomier days, but I have always gravitated towards photographing the moodier moments in nature. Give me those dynamic cloudscapes, fog filled forests or misty mountains.
My love for reading started at a very young age. From Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters, to Stephen King and J.R.R Tolkien, the genre's always varied. That being said, as much as I wish I could say it evolved into studying the classics, it's safe to say that I never outgrew my love of the fantasy world (The Witcher, ACOTAR, the list goes on...). I am, and forever will be, a Potterhead.
Blame it on Extreme Makeover, Home Edition, but I have always found joy in making a space feel complete or a house feel like home (even though it may have meant 15 year old me rearranging my bedroom at 10PM on a Wednesday night). We are currently in the midst of making a little slice of country heaven into our forever home, and though the process is slow, I can't wait to see how it all comes together.
Since grade 6, not a year has gone by where i haven't found myself on a volleyball court (beach or indoor). When I'm not out shooting, you can most likely find me here!
